Paul Revere Windsor has officially left the building!

I’m proud to announce that my part on Mick Foley’s signature comic book series RPM has finally been put to bed, and quite frankly, thanks to Mike Wiggam’s colourful contribution – it looks fabulous!!

Mick Foley and Shane Riches have penned a high octane barn burner that’s sure to entertain 12Gauge fans. I hope you all enjoy the art half as much.

The subject matter and mood were such that I wanted to try an alternative approach to the medium. I used just about every brand of pen I could find to render the work: Pilot markers, Staedtler Lumocolors, Sharpies, Faber Castell Pitt pens, pigment liners, jumbos, liquid ink, and my mainstay, the V5 Hi-Tecpoints, all with varying tips.

Thanks to Keven Gardner of 12Gauge, my editor and point man, and to Brian Stelfreeze for his artistic direction.

It was a blast!

The Moth Diaries

Just completed work on a horror film adaptation called The Moth Diaries, based on the novel written by Rachel Klein.

Mary Harron

My experience with Mary Harron on the film was by far the most engaging, spirited exchange I’ve had in this business. Declan Quinn (DOP), Mary and I worked tirelessly to accommodate the film’s intense SFX sequences and had a great time in the process.

The directorial duo were as gracious as they were generous with their time.

Mary Harron is a cinematic tour de force having directed films like American Psycho, I Shot Andy Warhol, and The Notorious Bettie Page, with episodic stints on such HBO hits as OZ and Six Feet Under.

The Moth Diaries is currently shooting on location in Oka, 45 minutes north of Montreal.

Memory Lane #1: RED DOOR

After wrapping up an interview with Newsarama for RPM’s debut later this year, it brought back memories of choice contracts I’ve had that inspired me personally and professionally.

Mark Romanek

One such memorable experience paired me with music video legend Mark Romanek. His captivating landmark videos have consistently pushed the boundaries of the medium and showcased some of the biggest names in music. Michael and Janet’s ‘Scream’, Mick Jagger’s ‘God Gave Me Everything I Want’, Lenny Kravitz’s ‘Are You Going My Way’, and the late Johnny Cash’s ‘Hurt’ immediately spring to mind.

We teamed up on a Red Door campaign for perfume giant Elizabeth Arden, and I had the honour of storyboarding shots for their spokesperson on the ad, Catherine Zeta-Jones.

Radio RADIO!

Earlier this year I had the pleasure of creating some pro bono storyboards for a buddy of mine who directed a music video for Radio Radio, a fave band over here in Quebec. Now, if I can only find them for posting.... Stay tuned.
